CAMP OVERVIEW

Trained Educators

Our experienced educators are passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping campers improve their skills. They provide personalized attention and support to help every student succeed on their individualized academic journey. We focus on building self-efficacy and accountability for learning. We believe that when children take ownership of their learning, they grow in confidence and independence.

We also embrace productive struggle — because it’s okay for learning to feel challenging sometimes. Working through tough concepts helps build the resilience and problem-solving skills children need for long-term success, both in and out of the classroom.

Note:  For the safety of all campers, there will be a CPR-certified staff member on-site each day. Our team is committed to maintaining a safe environment and is trained to respond to emergencies promptly and professionally.

Curriculum

During the first week of camp, students will participate in both formal and informal assessments to help us understand their current academic strengths and areas for growth. This information will guide the creation of individualized growth plans for each camper.

Our curriculum includes a summer bridge program and evidence-based resources designed to build and strengthen foundational skills. Each student will receive instruction based on their academic skill level, not just their age or grade. This approach allows us to maximize learning and meet each child where they are.

Small Class Sizes & Small Group Instruction

During camp, each camper will participate in daily small group sessions designed to provide targeted academic support. These small groups will allow for more personalized instruction, helping us meet each child exactly where they are in their learning journey. By working in small groups, campers benefit from:

  • Focused attention from teachers
  • Tailored instruction based on their specific needs
  • Opportunities to build confidence in a supportive setting.
  • More chances to participate and ask questions
  • Stronger peer relationships through collaboration

Small group learning is one of the most effective ways to address academic gaps and promote lasting growth. Our goal is to ensure every camper leaves feeling more capable, confident, and ready for the upcoming school year.

Individualized Growth Plans  (IGP)

Summer is a critical time to address learning lose from the school year or unfinished learning. An IGP pinpoints the exact concepts or skills a student struggles with (e.g., reading fluency, math operations), allowing focused remediation. IGPs don’t just highlight weaknesses; they leverage what a student is good at to boost confidence and motivation, which are key factors during summer learning. In essence, It's a smart, student-centered approach to closing gaps faster, keeping students on track, and building confidence before the new school year starts.

Brain Breaks

Throughout the day, campers will be given brain breaks as needed. These short breaks help students reset, refocus, and stay engaged in learning. Brain breaks are also used as a behavior management tool to support self-regulation and reduce frustration or fatigue. Our goal is to create a balanced camp day that promotes both academic growth and emotional well-being.
